The Beep media player (BMP) is a fork of XMMS. It uses GTK2 for the user interface (instead of GTK1 that XMMS uses). The main advantage of this is that it can use the nice Pango library for font rendering and use the nicer looking GTK2 widgets. It still uses a themed main (winamp-like) window.
