A changelog is a log or record of changes made to a project, such as a website or software project. Most open source projects include a changelog as one of the top level files in their distribution.
A changelog is often ordered by date, with the latest changes at the top. It can be then subdivided into sections, depending on what part of the project has been modified. Credit is also given here to the developer which fixed the bug/created the improvement.
