Galeon is a web browser designed to be used in GNOME. It uses the Gecko rendering engine of Mozilla.

Therefore, it requires both Gnome and Mozilla to be used.

It supports multi-language tabs, a sidebar, and has many useful features that make it similar to Firefox, Opera and Konqueror, among others.

The Gnome project changed their default browser from Galeon to Epiphany.
