To install the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG WLAN card you must find out your distribution and proceed accordingly.
SUSE 10.2
Install the needed firmware and driver:
yast2 -i ipw3945d yast2 -i ipw-firmware
Use Yast2 to configure your network card:
yast2 lan
Use iwlist to verify your WLAN card has been properly set up.
