Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy environment.

Has single player campaigns and allows for multiplayer games. Recently (Oct 2005) version 1.0 has been reached, a cleaned up bug-fixed version.

It is rather popular among the turn based games under Linux, with an extremely active community (see their forums)

Uses SDL.
