Digital Rights Management, or DRM, is the name for technologies that deal with protecting Intellectual Property and/or patented/copyrighted material through software and/or hardware solutions, such as creating digital watermarks, using encryption and otherwise attempting to obscure the unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material.
