This is not the Gentoo Linux distribution, with which it has no particular connections.

The Gentoo file manager is a highly configurable, extremely graphical, dual-pane file manager that is not a clone of, but is reminiscent of, Amiga's Directory Opus file manager.

Gentoo can be configured entirely via GUI. Once configured to recognize even the less common filetypes it will be a powerful tool for previewing and managing files. It can be controlled with the keyboard so it's particulary well suited for laptop owners.
