K-3D like Blender is a 3D modeling, animation and rendering application under the GNU General Public License (GPL) available for GNU / Linux, Posix, and Win32 systems. By its object-oriented plugin architecture, K-3D is designed to scale to the needs of professional artists to generate motion-picture-quality animation using RenderMan-compliant render engines and allows you to create and edit documents in multiple realtime OpenGL solid, shaded, texture-mapped views. K-3D can be associated with a lot render engine like : Pixie, BMRT, PRman, 3Delight, Render Dot C, but Aqsis [1] is strongly recommended.

It also support scripting language based on Python and JavaScript to make scripts and plugins to carry of repetitive functions.
