LQWiki:How to edit extremely long pages

Some web browsers cannot correctly edit long pages (the limit is around 32Kb). Browsers that have this problem will usually not display the entire article. If you save an edit using one of these browsers the undisplayed part will be deleted.

Here is a list of browsers known to have problems:

• Netscape 4.76 and earlier
• Opera 6.04 and earlier

If you know of a browser that has this problem but is not on the list, please add it.

If you are adding an extremely long page, you might consider writing it in parts. On the other hand, you might put a warning at the top that those who can't see the last part should upgrade their browsers.
