I dunno about java - I thought that was compiled on the fly, in part. Bytecode interpreter? Something like that. And probably something should be said about interpretation if we're going to bring up those comparisons here - might as well go all the way.

I just meant to do a grammar/spelling edit. ;)

The source code is compiled into bytecode, so I guess it qualifies. The bytecode is then interpreted at runtime. It's one of those grey areas I guess. Crazyeddie 14:43, Sep 3, 2004 (EDT)
