I'd like to know how to automate sftp interactions.

I'd like to do it properly, without forcing in a response to the password.

That is, I'd like to make a recognized public key using ssh agent, or whatever. I just have no clue where to start.

Normally, this would be where I would jump in and try to answer your question anyway, and try to incorporate that answer in to the article. But since I'm stuck, I'd suggest that you go to the LQ forums and ask there. When you figure out the answer, put it in the article. Crazyeddie 01:17, Jul 31, 2004 (EDT)

Audit & automation for SFTP

SFTPPlus (SFTP extended) was developed with a major insurance company to provide additional audit and management to open SFTP products in order to meet regulatory and corporate compliance requirements. It is a commercial, cost effective solution that may be installed at one side of the data transfer. see also www.sftpplus.com & www.proatria.com

Confusion of categories

As it stands, this article is a mix of the protocol and the program. They should be better disambiguated.
