Xsnow

Xsnow is an application that makes it snow on your graphical desktop.

Set it up

Install xsnow as described at installing_software
Make sure in kcontrol that Desktop -> Behavior -> General -> Allow programs in desktop window is tagged
To activate xsnow, use kcontrol to set Appearance and Themes -> Advanced Options -> Use the following program for drawing the background -> Add -> xsnow
