The zmore command displays the contents of a uncompressed file or a file compressed with gzip or compress, using the pager. To use it, simply type zmore filename, where filename is the name of the file you're looking for. If zmore doesn't find a file with that name, it will also look for filename plus .gz, .z, or .Z suffixes.
