Anacron

A system administration command for the periodic execution of commands. Anacron reads the configuration file which is by default located under /etc/anacrontab. This file lists how often a task should run as well as the shell command to execute. Timestamping is used to compare when a task was last executed and these are stored under /var/spool/anacron.
