Home

Home- where your files live. Every user has a home directory in every operating system; in linux it is called home. All personal files are stored here- such as emails, documents and pictures. A user's home folder is typically /home/username.

On Windows this is the "My Documents" folder. On OSX it is also called the home directory, however most stuff is stored in the "Documents" folder under the home directory.

Confused about folder and directory? They're really just the same thing, different name!
