Talk:CPU

Is there a reason to host a page like this here?

I'm thinking: If there's something Linux-specific about this page, like: "What CPU's are supported by Linux," then I can understand why it's here.

But, otherwise, shouldn't we just link to Wikipedia's CPU article?

Maybe we are using this as a placeholder, until such a time as we get something Linux-specific to say on this page?

I'm not particularly concerned here. I'm just trying to understand the role played by these sorts of pages.

I absolutely agree. Pages of such poor quality, when compared to wikipedia, shed a bad light on wiki.linuxquestions.org --ThorstenStaerk 05:41, October 13, 2007 (EDT)
