I don't altogether get this wiki stuff. What's to stop idiots just coming along and pasting any old crap all over the place? Your lovely collection of FAQs and info could all be wiped in a few minutes.
I'm all for collaborative environments, I think that part of a wiki is a fantastic idea, but there are many, many people out there who shouldn't be trusted with a Save button.
Shhh. Idiots so rarely have ideas of their own, we don't need to give them any. ;)
The older versions are stored - we'd just revert. And we hope that the many useful contributors outnumber the idiots. Besides, it would actually take a lot of effort and time to screw up everything - and key pages are protected. There's probably always a responsible person about to see anyone up to mischief.
Please keep contributing and don't let concerns about idiots worry you - I like what you've done. The its/it's thing and the like bugs me, too - in theory. But I've actually gone net-blind to it most of the time. :)

If someone screws up everything, there's a "rollback" feature enabled for sysops which allows one click per page reverting. If you catch someone in the process of screwing up everything, a sysop will be able to block them. Give sysop access to all trusted users. And signatures don't need to be on a new line. -- Tim Starling 22:38, Mar 5, 2004 (EST)
P.S. hey cool spell check, is that GPL?
Don't know, but I wish the wikipedia had it. Crazyeddie 16:32, May 27, 2004 (EDT)
