MMORPG Definition

I think Diablo and Diablo 2 are bad examples, they aren't massive at all.

If Diablo is inaccurate, remove it. I thought it was an MMORPG, but I'm willing to allow that I could be wrong.

The thing is that I have never played Diablo or Diablo 2 online, only single player or on a LAN. So I don't know what the maximum player is. When that's something like 16-32 then it's not massive, and it should be removed from this list.

Yes it's not a mmorpg, IIRC the maximum is 8 per game, but removing them here would orphan the pages. Not sure where to move them. I also don't know if these games are playable on Linux (with Wine maybe?)

I have heard of people playing d2 with Wine, though have not done so myself.

A MMORPG is a persistent-state game where players take on the role of a character in the world. Diablo 2 is not "massive," nor is it persistent state.
I'd like to see this article describe MMORPGs that run natively under Linux, and not with emulators... but I'll mention Cedega since that seems a popular way to run World Of Warcraft, currently the planet's most popular example of the genre. Mozai 16:24, July 18, 2006 (EDT)
