I seem to have redirect looped this one. Sorry. Dkaplowitz 21:30, Mar 22, 2004 (EST)
- It may be a bug. There are several varieties of 'object oriented' related pages that are messed up. I'll give it a try, but I'll probably make it worse. :) Digiot 22:15, Mar 22, 2004 (EST)
- Some kind of bug. If I remove them from the double redirect page, they show up as broken redirects. If I create a redirect to fix the break, it immediately shows up as a double redirect. It appeared to be case insensitive, failing to distinguish between 'Object Oriented' and 'Object oriented' but that doesn't even seem to fully explain it.
- This is why I don't like creating redirects unless they just happen and are called for and are created one at a time. Easier to track and deal with. Digiot 22:29, Mar 22, 2004 (EST)
- I think it's a symptom of having this Wiki set up to transparently redirect since then you have to use the wiki.phtml way of editing and use &action=edit, which is a lot more of a PITA than how it's done at the Wikipedia, for instance. Dysprosia 23:54, Mar 22, 2004 (EST)
- How is it handled differently at Wikipedia? If it's something you think should be changed here can you send a note to the mailing list? Thanks. Jeremy 15:39, Mar 23, 2004 (EST)
Whatever you did seems to have worked. OOP now rdr's to the more populated page. Dkaplowitz 07:24, Mar 23, 2004 (EST)
