Talk:Scripting
It is in the wrong place, in that we have a Programming Tips and Tricks section. However, I wouldn't mind seeing a scripting-specific section - especially as some people consider scripting not to be programming. I just don't think this is the right place for it. It should either go under PT&T (as a subsection, maybe) or somewhere else.
However, the idea of calling this 'Creating New Commands: Scripting' (tying into 'commands' conceptually and by title) and leaving it here is kind of neat. Because you are creating an executable file that performs a new task - creating a new command.
Thoughts?

Still think this needs to be elsewhere.
On my box, usleep is a deprecated C function, and nanosleep is advised. For shell scripting, all I know is 'sleep'. Am I missing something?
It's policy not to sign names to articles - just to commentary.

I would say this is definitely in the wrong place, my impression was most of this was for users making transition to linux/starting to use, so why do they care about altering statup scripts, bit advanced really.

- Wiki content can range from extreme newbie to very advanced concepts.

Well yeah, but maybe this should not be the first page that is shown for scripting tips, perhaps describing what a script actually is and then a list of typical ones and their locations.
