Upgrade 2007.0 to 2007.1

Open a console as root, and type: 

urpmq --list-media

and then 

urpmi.removemedia media-foo

or 

urpmi.removemedia -a


Then visit:http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/
Choose the 2007.1 Mandriva version and then follow the steps.
Be sure to click the steps.
You will then get commands to add to root which will add new urpmi media for you.
You should be able to urpmi update from there.


  • Tip1: Choose "Use compressed index, much smaller than normal, with less informations" if you do not wish to download about 100MB.
  • Tip2: The process might stop. In case there is not an error, simply press "Enter" to continue.
  • Tip3: Updating your system, by just changing the "urpmi media", isn't the most stable way. So a CD/DVD with the current or the former Mandriva version should be somewhere around.
