Understanding wiki's

Could someone help me to understand how to do this.I am trying to edit apage and have not a clue

This should help. If you have any specific questions beyond that, let us know. Jeremy 23:42, Nov 28, 2004 (EST)

You're probably having trouble with the markup. Jeremy's link will help you with that, but this will tell you about 95% of what you need to know:

Marking up a word or phrase like [[this]] will create a link to the "this" article. Except for the first character, article names are case sensitve.

''This markup'' creates itallics. '''This''' does bold. (Those are multiple single quote marks.)

You don't have to sign your work in the articles - that's taken care of automatically. But it's a convention to sign your posts in the talk pages. The usual way to do this is by this markup: ~~~~ (Those are tildes, if your keyboard is standard, then the key is on the far upper left, and you'll have to use the shift key.) The four tildes will be replaced with a link to your userpage and a timestamp. That's how I'm signing this post. Crazyeddie 16:22, Nov 29, 2004 (EST)
