Linux Virtualization

Platform virtualization under Linux can be done with

  • VMWare - full virtualization
  • VirtualBox - like VMWare, but only 1 processor per VM
  • KVM - full virtualization (paravirtualization is in test)
  • XEN - paravirtualization
  • User-mode Linux - pseudo virtualization
  • Qemu - processor emulator
