The Wireless Tools are a set of programs that interface with the many wireless drivers available for linux via the Wireless Extensions API. It includes:
- iwconfig: change most significant wireless settings
- iwlist: check the status of settings, scan for accesspoints
- iwspy
- iwpriv: change driver-specific settings
- ifrename
