A Font describes the way a particular piece of writing is displayed. In computing, an operating system will have a list of fonts that enable it to display text in a wide variety of manners depending on user selection or programmer choice. Each set of fonts is generally owned by an individual or organisation and therefore it can be illegal to use some fonts without a license.
