Kdenlive is a video editor for KDE. It competes for your grace with kino and LiVES.

You can import video clips (mpeg, dv, flash, quicktime, vob, wmv,...), audio clips (mp3, wav, vorbis) or images (jpeg, gif, png, svg) into your project. You can also create text clips, mix everything together then export your movie in one of the many supported formats (dv, dvd, mpeg, flash, mpeg4, ...)
